ANIMAL FEED

From feed pellets to fish food, from rapeseed meal to feed grade molasses, Agro Sumy LLC produces a wide variety of products for the animal feed and pet food sectors.

The use of high-quality, processed animal proteins and fats is strictly controlled under EU and European 1069/2009 regulation. Since July 2009, however, blood products (pork), hydrolysates and animal fats have been allowed again for the feeding of non-ruminants (pigs and poultry).

We are able to ensure various product qualities and fulfil our customers' requirements in terms of quality on the basis of long-standing partnerships and close connections to our producers.

Animal feeds:

Soybean Meal

Soybean meal is obtained by grinding the flakes that remain after most of the oil has been extracted from dehulled soybeans. It is used in animal feed and pet food products worldwide, as a high-protein ingredient for added nutrition.

Feed Grains

Feed grain is any grain used for livestock feed. Agro Sumy LLC feed grains production is mostly yellow corn, which is fed whole, rolled, cracked, flaked or further processed into DDGS or cornmeal. Primarily fed to hogs, poultry, cattle and pets, corn is not a high protein feed ingredient and usually represents only a certain percentage of a feed ration.

Aquatic Feed

Proper nutrition is key to productive fish farming. From corn, wheat, soy and rice bran, we produce high-quality aquatic feed that contributes to healthier stock and profitability for customers in aquaculture.

Feed Barley

Barley grain has three major uses: livestock feed, raw material for alcohol and starch production, and food. Ros-Agrokirov deals exclusively in rolled feed barley, sourced from Russia, Ukraine and Argentina for delivery to Australia, China, Thailand and the Middle East. In this last location, it is used as a popular feed for camels.

Rapeseed Meal

Rapeseed meal is made by processing the resulting rapeseed cake after oil is extracted from the seeds as a feedstock for biodiesel production. Each ton of rapeseed biodiesel that we produce generates approximately 1.25 tons of rapeseed meal, a key component in high-protein animal feed.

Sunflower Meal

Sunflower seed meal is the by-product of the extraction of oil from sunflower seeds. Sunflower meal is one of the major protein meals used for livestock feeding and particularly for ruminant diets, and under certain conditions for pigs and poultry. Sunflower seed meal is a valuable and safe product, whose protein, fiber and oil contents are highly variable and driven by variations of the oil extraction process.
